From the mountains region of Chimborazo, I visited Alausi, Banos, Riobamba, then to one of the main cities Guayaquil and travelled 10 hours bus ride to stay a few days and explore the beautiful cities of Cuenca and Otavalo in north Ecuador.

The rederas and neskatillas from Bermeo, Bizcaia.

I grew up 5min walk from the fishing dock in my town, where I always saw men by their boats, making, fixing, folding their fishing nets in the afternoon towards the evenings.

But in Bermeo I saw only women, and they told me their story, which is a tradition that comes from generations back.
Women of the sea. Respected and admired by the ones who live from the seas.
